Aquamarine Diving - Bali is a small but long-established operation specializing in high quality, tailor-made scuba diving tours in some of the richest and most diverse waters on the planet.

This operation only dives the better dive sites in Bali including shore diving at Tulamben Bay for the 120m USAT Liberty Shipwreck; superb muck diving at Secret Bay, Puri Jati and Seraya perfect for underwater macro photography enthusiasts; and exhilarating drift diving in Nusa Penida where you can also see Mola Mola (in season), sharks and manta rays year-round. All of these sites and more can be combined into one customized dive safari.

Aquamarine's experienced local dive guides and instructors will make your dive vacation a safe and enjoyable experience. Several of the company's guides are outstanding spotters and many high-profile underwater photographers book their senior guides for some intensive macro photo shoots.

Day 1 Arrive into Bali and transfer to Candidasa (1hr 30mins). Check in to your Superior room at Alila Manggis for a 7 night stay.

Day 2 After breakfast you値l be met for a morning transfer to Tulamben (1hr). Enjoy 2 day dives in Tulamben Bay (wreck/wall diving) and 1 night dive at Tulamben Bay.

The Liberty wreck is very popular with photographers as it is totally encrusted in anemone, gorgonians and corals. The black sand provides an excellent color contrast for the incredible variety of marine life, which includes a huge school (literally hundreds) of big-eyed trevally and over 400 other species of fish. From the minute anglerfish, neon nudibranches, ghost pipefish, shrimp/goby sets, through to garden eels and multi-colored clouds of anthias and damsels and schools of sweetlips, batfish, fusiliers and butterfly fish. The variety is amazing.

The wall has profuse sponges, corals, black coral bushes and gorgonian fans. The fish life includes cuttlefish, octopus, boxer crabs, white tip and black tip reef sharks, large napoleon wrasse, big Bumphead parrotfish, some big filefish (including scrawled), and large moray eel. Late afternoon is the time to see the wide variety of lionfish that live here. There have been sightings of Whale Shark in as little as 9m of water!

Day 3 After breakfast you値l be met for a morning transfer to Tulamben (50mins). Enjoy 2 day dives in the Tulamben area (choice of muck/wall/reef diving/pelagics).

Day 4 After breakfast you値l be met for a morning transfer to Padangbai (15mins) for 2 day dives at Biaha and Mimpang/Tepekong (wall diving/pelagics).

Mimpang, Tepekong and Biaha are all surrounded by remarkably healthy reefs. You will find a vast number and great diversity of fish, abundant sharks and frequent pelagic visitors set against a dramatic backdrop of craggy black walls with beautiful, healthy corals and often superb visibility. If there is the usual swirling current, you can still see and feel the drama of the site, but your view will be somewhat obstructed by the huge schools of sweetlips, snapper and big-eyed trevally, Bumphead parrotfish, unicorn fish, batfish, groupers, sharks (usually white tip reef sharks) and other pelagics - which may include tuna and Mola-Mola (oceanic sunfish) in season (July to mid-November).

Relax with a Beach Barbeque lunch.
Day 5 After breakfast you値l be met for an 8:30am transfer to Padangbai where you will head out to Nusa Penida for 2 day dives including Manta Point (drift diving/manta rays year-round).

Nusa Penida is the largest of three islands (Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan). The water here is fairly cold (due to the ocean currents) but often startlingly clear, with gorgeous corals and prolific fish, occasional turtles, sharks (including grey reefs and silver tips) and in July to mid-November Mola-Mola (the weird and wonderful sunfish). There are dive sites all around Nusa Penida痴 northern coast with very good varieties of hard and soft corals and slopes and drop-offs. At Manta Point in addition to manta rays, you may also see other pelagics such as tuna and tiger mackerel.

Day 6 After breakfast you値l be met for an 8:30am transfer to Padangbai where you will head out to Nusa Penida for 2 day dives (drift diving/Mola-Mola in season). Optional Night Dive at Blue Lagoon (not included in cost). Return to resort.

Day 7 After breakfast you should be ready for a 9:00am pick up for your East Bali land tour. Visit the town of Semarapura to see the famous painted ceiling at
Kerta Gosa, the ancient Palace of Justice. Appropriately for the Palace of Justice the paintings illustrate the fate of people who had committed offences. Visit the temple of Goa Gajah ('Elephant Cave'). The T-shaped cave is carved into a rock face and houses shrines to several Hindu gods.

Have lunch in Ubud, where there is a huge range of great restaurants to choose from.

In the afternoon, see the Monkey Forest in Ubud, home to many playful monkeys. Explore the Pura Puseh temple in Batuan, which features extravagant carvings depicting stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharata.
Return to resort.

Day 8 Check out is at 12:00noon. You will be transferred to the airport. Depart from Bali.
