OVERVIEW Jim Abernethy's Scuba Adventures specializes in great hammerhead and tiger shark expeditions, wild dolphin encounters, and exploring the many uninhabited out-islands of the Bahamas.
Their custom live-aboard boat, M/V Shear Water, is a USCG and Bahamas inspected 65 ft. liveaboard boat that was custom designed and built with the passenger in mind. The Shear Water has all the comforts of home and more. The salon includes a 36" flatscreen LCD TV with DVD/MP3 player and stereo system with surround sound and the bow is a great place for sunning and relaxing.
With professional captains and crew, and a group size of only 10 passengers you will get flexibility with schedules and itineraries, and personal attention. Scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, beachcombing, and much more await you. |

ACCOMMODATION There are ten individual beds complete with linens and fresh water shower towel.
Three cabins with two beds in each (over/under) and four beds in the v-berth (bow common area) with privacy curtains. There are 2 bathrooms and hot water showers with soap, shampoo, and conditioner. |

DIVING The most popular trip is to the world famous Tiger Beach for one of the most unique underwater experiences ever. Imagine yourself surrounded by lemon and tiger sharks as far as the eye can see amidst a gorgeous backdrop of crystal blue Bahamian water and powder white sand; all this in less than 20 feet of water with no cages.
Another great trip is focused on finding and photographing great hammerhead sharks. This itinerary is exclusively for shark enthusiasts and photographers and emphasis will be on getting quality in-water time and photo opportunities. |

The secret locations visited are often frequented by tiger sharks, Caribbean reef sharks, bull sharks, lemon and nurse sharks while occasionally being visited by something more exotic such as a dusky shark or its little cousin, the silky.
Other itineraries focus on playful and photogenic wild dolphins and little-visited out-islands of the Bahamas.
The boat has custom dive seats, tank racks and dive platform with bins for personal dive gear, hangers for wetsuits and a freshwater rinse hose on the back deck complete with soap and shampoo. Nitrox is available for an additional fee. |

PHOTO FACILITIES There is a camera table and charging stations in the salon and camera rinse bins on the back deck.
