OVERVIEW
Anse Chastanet scenically is one of the most spectacular St. Lucia beach resorts and the resort team is committed to providing you with the most memorable St. Lucia vacation experience possible. The design makes the foliage and the flowers, the perfumes and the peaks, the sea and the bird song an integral part of your vacation experience.

The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft sand beaches. Not only do you get a World Heritage Site anchored by the twin peaks on land, the resort’s two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish.

And while the sensuous seclusion of the rooms provides guests with the perfect excuse for lolling away the day on the balcony, you’ll likely want to head out to partake in the many activities on offer; scuba diving, tennis, yoga, snorkeling, sunset sailing, sea kayaking or jungle biking, hiking and bird-watching among the ruins of an 18th century colonial plantation. Or simply lie on the beach or get pampered in the resort’s spa, Kai Belté.

There is a casual beachside bar and restaurant; on the hillside, a panoramic hillside lounge and two treehouses provide the romantic setting for candlelit dinners, with musical backdrops by local entertainers.

ACCOMMODATION
A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remaining 37 tiptoe up a flower decked hillside. To make the most of the panoramic views and the refreshing tradewinds octagonal whitewashed cottages come with wraparound flower draped balconies and louvered windows.

Extra-large Deluxe and Premium suites underscore the visionary, innovative, sometimes whimsical side of Anse Chastenet’s owner Nick Troubetzkoy: in one suite, the balcony is built around a full-grown red gommier tree; in another a flamboyant tree drapes its red blossoms around the balcony. Some have their 4th wall open entirely to the vistas, yet are completely private.

Anse Chastenet emphasizes the use of local woods and other local products in the room decor and furnishings. The furniture has been individually designed and handmade in the region with the exclusive use of the island woods such as teak, mahogany, green heart, red cedar and wild breadfruit. All rooms have fridges, electric tea/coffee makers and wall mounted hair dryers, and in-room safes. Deluxe and Premium rooms also have irons and ironing boards.

Located high on Morne Chastanet, overlooking the Pitons and Caribbean Sea, JADE MOUNTAIN is a resort within a resort at Anse Chastanet. Expect grand sweeping spaces, with your sleeping and living areas and an extravagantly sized infinity edge pool (one in each sanctuary!) flowing into one another to form an amazing floating platform with the 4th wall missing entirely - the result being a stage-like setting from which to embrace the full glory of St. Lucia's twin Pitons and the shimmering Caribbean Sea - a view you are not likely to ever forget.

The Anse Chastanet reef starts just 10 yards beyond the water's edge. The reef's remarkable ecosystem offers an amazing profusion of unusual tropical marine life, in 20 to 140 feet of calm, clear water. Anse Chastanet Reef which is home to more than 150 different species of fish makes for an amazing dive day or night. In the shallow areas be sure to keep your eyes open for peacock flounders, octopus, needle fish and turtles. Or drop down a little deeper over dense coral growth to see puffers, moray eels, parrot fish, lobsters and even sea horses. This is a unique dive site for all abilities and especially good for macro photography.

The boat dives should also not be missed - dramatic walls beneath the majestic Piton Mountains, Superman's flight, a drift dive in the shadow of the Petit Piton, Coral Gardens and Jalousie under the Gros Piton, Piton Wall, the wreck of the "Lesleen M", Anse La Raye and Anse Cochon. Closer to home for the afternoon boat trips but no less spectacular sites, the diver can explore Fairyland, Turtle Reef, Grand Caille, Trou Diable, the Pinnacles and much more.
