OVERVIEW Arawak Bay the Inn at Salt River, a charming B&B on St. Croix’s north shore, is a strategic locale from which to explore and experience the archaeological and marine treasures of St. Croix.
Looking out onto the Salt River National Park Visitor Center and the Salt River Bay, island breakfasts with house specialties and relaxation by the pool and bar affirm that you are in America’s paradise. |
|
The welcoming and gracious hospitality of hosts, Jennifer and Lionel, often earn the guests’ characterization as their “home away from home”. The Inn is close to the Cyril E. King airport and to downtown Christiansted, Arawak Bay is convenient to area restaurants and popular beaches including Cane Bay.
You can enjoy the blend of sea and land with mangrove forests and coral reefs and countless species of birds, fish and sea turtles as you kayak or snorkel in the vicinity of the Salt River Bay. |
|
ACCOMMODATION Each of the 14 rooms at Arawak Bay Inn offer breathtaking views of Salt River Bay and the Caribbean Sea and even glimpses of St. Thomas and Tortola.
The spacious rooms have either 2 double beds or one king bed, air conditioning, free in-room wireless access and satellite TV. |

DIVING Divers, traveling from around the world, consistently choose St Croix as their travel destination for scuba diving. The North Coast of St Croix provides numerous wall dives, not only advanced divers, but beginning divers can take advantage of also. Some walls, such as the East and West Wall at Salt River, start in only twenty feet of water. Perfect sea conditions for even the beginning diver. For the more advanced scuba diver, St Croix offers deep dives, and there are numerous wrecks scattered around the Island of St Croix. |
|
For the more adventuresome divers, the guides at Cane Bay Dive Shop have discovered a way to call sharks. About a hundred yards off the beach in Cane Bay, the world famous Cane Bay Wall starts at 30 feet and plummets to over three thousand feet. Diving with one of Cane Bay’s experienced Dive Masters, you’ll get the chance to call sharks. And if you’re lucky, dive with reef sharks. You may even get to see a manta ray while there too. |
