Manta Cruise

The Manta Cruise is a comfortable dive vessel of 33 meters in length, a beam of 9 meters with modern lines. Operated by Abyssworld, the boat was selected based on her quality, comfort, security and conviviality.

Equipped with a 365 hp engine her cruising speed is between 9 and 12 knots. She has 2 generators 24/24 and 2 desalinators for ample fresh water.

Completely air conditioned, the Manta Cruise features a huge saloon with TV and dining room. She welcomes 18 passengers on board for cruises throughout the Maldives.

There is a large aft deck with tables for meals alfresco. Two sundecks with sun lounges and sufficient shaded areas give you plenty of options for relaxing. On the foredeck, sun lounges are there for your enjoyment.

The Manta Cruise offers 9 cabins. There are 2 suites on the upper deck which are more spacious with double beds. The other cabins offer 2 single beds side by side, but 4 of these offer the possibility to connect the two individual beds and create a double bed.

All cabins have a private en suite bathroom with hot water, portholes and individual air-conditioning.

In terms of the diving the Maldives is one of the most beautiful destinations in the world, with uncountable sites destined to thrill even the most demanding diver: abundant and varied fauna, drift dives between reefs, wrecks, and rich coral gardens. No style of diving is left out: grey sharks, tuna, barracuda, manta rays and eagle rays, napoleon fish, grouper and whale sharks, without forgetting the multitude of reef fish.

Team Abyss guides and Maldivian crew live permanently on the vessels and are there to ensure the smooth operation of your cruise. Manta Cruise is accompanied by a diving “dhoni", a locally built wooden boat, equipped with 2 compressors, GPS, telephone, medical oxygen, dive storage areas and sun protected seats. Their shallow draft and practicality provide great flexibility for each dive excursion. In addition and importantly these diving dhonis are distanced from the main vessel during tank filling sessions to avoid the annoying sound of compressors during your cruise. Nitrox diving is available on request and as an option.
