Relax in the heated plunge pool, sauna or hot tub after your day’s adventures. There’s even a children’s wading pool, so the whole family can enjoy the spa area.
Recount your day's adventures with fellow guests and plan the days ahead over a hearty meal. Share your dining experience with the nature of Lamington National Park, where at breakfast you will find masses of color in the bay windows as the Regent and Satin Bowerbirds come in for a meal. At night you'll be able to spot the mountain Brushtail Possums and sometimes even a Sugar Glider or two. |
| ACCOMMODATION O'Reilly's offers a range of guest rooms to cater to all tastes, from the grandeur of the luxurious Canopy Suites through the most popular Mountain View Rooms to the simple yet comfortable Garden View. Most rooms also take advantage of the magnificent mountain views. |
|
O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat offers an escape to the tranquil quiet of the environment. With no televisions or phones in the room to allow you to completely get away from it all, bird calls replace phone calls and rainforest views replace television screens.
One of the former O'Reilly family homes has been transformed into two stunning Two Bedroom Canopy Suites. Each unit has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a separate living room and two way fireplace. The large decks, complete with private spa bath, look out onto the rugged McPherson Ranges to the west and provide uninterrupted views of the most magical of sunsets. Polished timber floors, cedar shutters and handcrafted Queensland Maple furniture complement the warmth and character of the building. A stereo in the living area adds the final touches. |
|
The main bedroom of each boasts a spectacular king-size four poster bed and is fully ensuited. The bedroom also has a large double spa with views to the ranges. The second bedroom features a king size ensemble bed that can be transformed into two large single beds if required.
Three One Bedroom Canopy Suites adjoin the luxuriant rainforest canopy and offer twice the space of the standard Mountain View rooms. A comfortable living area features recycled timber flooring, lounge chairs and audio system. The suites have four large balconies with spectacular views of the rainforest foliage and western mountain ranges. A spacious bedroom features a king-size four-poster bed, sofa and a warming fireplace. To top it all off, the bathroom has a spa bath with views through a full-length picture window of the breathtaking mountain scenery. |
|
All Mountain View Rooms boast a private balcony where you can relax and soak up the magnificent views to the McPherson ranges. The spacious high-set rooms feature exposed beams, natural timbers, raked ceilings and private bathroom. Most rooms contain a queen and single bed, while six family rooms also contain additional bedding for two extra guests, and two are equipped for wheelchair occupation.
The Garden View rooms are motel style rooms that feature red cedar shutters, hand crafted Queensland Maple furniture and timber queen-sized beds. All six rooms have private ensuites and views of the gardens around the guesthouse.
The Bithongabel Single Rooms feature a single bed, tea and coffee making facilities, small bar fridge, private bathroom and private balcony with views to the West. |

LAMINGTON NATIONAL PARK Four years after the arrival of the O'Reilly Family, Lamington National Park was declared, effectively isolating the O'Reilly's from the outside world. While Lamington wasn't Queensland's first national park, it is the most significant, and was regularly referred to as 'Queensland's National Park.'
World Heritage status was bestowed on Lamington in 1994 in recognition of its high biodiversity, and the fact it contains a living museum of the evolutionary steps taken in the development of Australia's modern day flora. It now includes 20,200 hectares of varying forest types, from temperate Antarctic Beech forest high on the border ranges through the sub-tropical rainforests, to the dry eucalypt forest of the northern escarpment.
Lamington National Park provides food and shelter for a huge array of sub-tropical birdlife (over 160 species), reptiles, frogs, mammals and invertebrates.
For over 90 years the O'Reilly family has accumulated a deep knowledge of Lamington National Park and its many attractions. They would love to share the park and that knowledge with you. |
