OVERVIEW At Aroha Taveuni all balconies we overlook the beautiful Somosomo Strait and directly across the water to Vanu Levu. Watch the most beautiful sunsets, the local children playing on the beach and in the water, local women fishing for the evening meal, and sometimes if you are lucky dolphins playing and feeding in the beautiful clear waters.
The beautiful 10 meter infinity pool and sun deck adjoining the main house are available for guests to relax and use.
Not far from Aroha Taveuni is a ‘natural’ water slide which is a must to visit to watch the local children stand and ‘surf’ down barefooted, it takes your breath away. A short boat ride from Aroha takes you to Koro Levu, a small uninhabited beautiful white sandy beach island which offers fantastic snorkeling. Take a picnic and spend the day lazing on the beach living your dream. |
|
Further north there are some beautiful long white sandy beaches to take a walk along and find the beautiful shells on the shores, swim in the crystal clear waters, then head for the waterfall at Bouma on the way home to swim in the fresh water.
After many years in the tourism and hospitality industry in New Zealand, the resort’s owners decided to settle in Fiji where they opened Aroha Taveuni. They built the type of accommodation that they chose to stay in when traveling the world: independent and with the freedom of choice of where to go, where to dine and what sites to see. Evening meals are available by prior arrangement if you do not feel like doing your own on your balcony, or do not feel like dining out. |

ACCOMMODATION There are a total of 5 rooms, housed in two stand-alone bures. The bures are only meters from the beach front and waters’ edge, so you can lie in bed at night and listen to the gentle lapping of the water. Each room has its own balcony with indoor/outdoor fully equipped kitchenette for self-catering needs.
Each room has a king size bed or 2 king singles if required. The rooms are fan cooled and have wooden louver windows with insect mesh covering to let the nice cool evening breeze to flow through. The huge outdoor showers adjoining each room are a treat to take a long cool shower in and watch the coconut trees sway in the breeze or simply sit on the shower seat and star gaze to your heart’s content.
Two of the rooms may be combined as a family unit, if required. |
