| About ´Maldives Siren´ |
|
OVERVIEW The 34 meter S/Y Maldives Siren has been designed and built by Worldwide Dive and Sail on the island of Sulawesi. She is a traditional Indonesian ‘gaft-rigged Phinisi’ handcrafted from ironwood and teak. Thus she has been custom-made with all the luxury facilities for the modern diver. In particular, this luxury vessel has been specialized for the underwater photographer and videographer.
There is a spacious air-conditioned saloon with cocktail bar, 42 inch flatscreen & computer server supporting the inter-cabin network, a covered outdoor dining area and expansive leisure deck. |
|
An onboard yacht boutique makes available to customers Worldwide Dive and Sail merchandise, including towels, hats, log books, t-shirts, shorts and lighters just to name a few items. Other special features aboard this vessel include massage service, laundry service, kayaks and other water sports equipment.
Aboard the S/Y Maldives Siren we welcome up to 14 guests aboard each trip. This ensures abundant space for all guests. However, she has the facilities and ample room to host up to 18 guests on special charters. The S/Y Siren has been designed and constructed based upon Lloyds Standards, the leading international body of maritime safety standards. |
|
ACCOMMODATION Siren offers 8 large air-conditioned cabins each with their own personal computer, audio-visual entertainment system and ensuite bathrooms with hot water. All rooms are lavished with luxury extras including bathrobes, hair dryers, towels, individually controlled mood lighting and individual controls for your air-conditioning unit.
There is 1 double cabin at the rear, another double cabin with an additional single bed at the bow, two twin cabins where one of the beds can be made into a double, a further two twin cabins and two cabins with three single beds. |

DIVING The Maldives is a world renowned diving destination, with its crystal clear warm water and stunning island scenery, it is easy to see why the Maldives is so appealing to divers. Worldwide Dive and Sail’s 10 night liveaboard diving safaris allow you to explore the atolls at the best of the seasons.
The often tiny islands are surrounded by over 3,000 coral reefs that support a wide variety of marine life and make the Maldives one of the richest diving coral reef areas. The free-flowing tides of the monsoons bring with them nutrient rich waters that support life from the smallest creature to the largest fish - the whale shark. Sightings of large pelagic sharks, manta and eagle rays, schooling fish and plenty of small crustaceans, molluscs and echinoderms keeps the diving here interesting and no two trips will be alike. |
| PHOTO FACILITIES Specialized features for underwater photographers and videographers onboard Siren include workstations for the preparation and maintenance of cameras including prep and storage areas and large rinsing tanks with fresh water changed three times daily.
Each cabin is fitted with an individual computer and multiple power sources to facilitate the needs of digital photography. The computer features high-end specifications and 20” high-definition flatscreens, which is integrated with the yachts network server in the saloon. |
