OVERVIEW Lizard Island is your own personal island retreat on the Great Barrier Reef. Beautiful, natural and wild as well as the most northern Great Barrier Reef resort, this is a place reserved for the fortunate few.
Diving at The Cod Hole, one of the world famous dive sites, is just a short boat ride away. Enjoy secluded picnics on private beaches, five star cuisine and indulging spa treatments. The beaches are plentiful, 24 in all, with fine powdery white sand, undisturbed but for the occasional footprints. |

Dining is one of this award-winning resort’s many pleasures. Ospreys Restaurant embodies the resort's understated elegance. The menu, which changes daily, is fresh and creative, showcasing the finest local produce and freshest seafood.
Other facilities include a freshwater swimming pool, tennis court, the Azure Spa offering a range of massages, facials and other body treatments, gymnasium and a Guest Lounge with complimentary internet access. Guests should be aware that because of Lizard Island’s remote location there is no mobile phone service. |
| ACCOMMODATION Lizard Island has 40 luxurious rooms or suites. All rooms have a private deck, air conditioning and ceiling fans, a Bose sound system with CD player and iPod connectivity, a fully stocked mini bar, tea & coffee making facilities, hair dryers, bath robes, beach towels, umbrellas and safety deposit boxes. |

Anchor Bay Rooms are located in a tropical garden setting with easy access to Anchor Bay and the beach, and have a private balcony with a hammock. Bedding is a king-size bed or two double beds. Anchor Bay Family Rooms with two separate sleeping areas are also available. Bedding is a king-size bed and a double sofa bed for these rooms.
Sunset Point Villas are set high on Sunset Ridge among native eucalyptus bushland. Providing filtered sea views over Anchor Bay or Sunset Beach, these Villas offer privacy and easy access to a string of secluded beaches. Each Villa has a private deck with comfortable Australian timber chairs and a hammock. Bedding is a king-size bed or a king-size bed and a double sofa bed.
Anchor Bay Suites are set in a broad sweeping arc along Anchor Bay, with easy access to the main Lodge, offer captivating sea views and each has a pathway leading directly to the beach. Seamlessly blending indoors and out in an elegant and spacious open plan design, a large verandah with daybed is one of the many comforts. Bedding is a king-size bed or 2 king-size single beds (maximum 2 people). |

The Pavilion is perched high above the Coral Sea and set on the point of Sunset Ridge. It combines complete privacy with a spectacular 270-degree panorama of Anchor Bay, Osprey Island and Sunset Beach.
An expansive decking area incorporates a private plunge pool, sun lounges and a daybed area, inviting guests to relax and take in the stunning views. Leaving the balcony to stroll down a private path, guests will discover another secluded area where chairs and a table have been perfectly positioned to make the most of sea breezes and the gorgeous views.
Inside, the Pavilion offers every comfort including a laptop computer for downloading and sending emails. Champagne and a deluxe fruit bowl greet guests on arrival. Bedding is a king-size bed. |

DIVING Set right on the Great Barrier Reef and boasting its own beautiful fringing reefs, Lizard Island has the advantage of being able to offer divers both half and full day reef experiences. Night dives give divers the opportunity to see nocturnal marine animals, providing a unique and different experience to diving during the day.
Lizard's purpose-built dive boat, the MV Serranidae operates excursions to stunning inner and outer reef diving sites, including the world famous Cod Hole, renowned for its huge, but friendly, Potato Cod. Naturally, the Cod Hole is subject to weather and tidal conditions. Trips are led by experienced dive guides offering interpretation and safety.
Private charters and PADI courses are some of the options available for divers. |
