True North
Western Australia
|
True North is a 34-meter first-class luxury vessel with North Star Charters, built especially for exploring Australia`s remote coastal waters. The vast and exciting Kimberley region of far north of Western Australia is like nowhere else in the world: wildly beautiful landscapes of rugged mountain ranges, spectacular river gorges and majestic waterfalls. These tropical waters are inhabited by dolphins, giant turtles and saltwater crocodiles.
True North can accommodate up to 28 guests in fourteen cabins. Choose from two luxurious State Rooms, six Double Cabins with queen-size beds or six Twin Cabins with bunk beds. All cabins have private bathrooms, except five of the twin cabins which share three bathrooms. The ship has a spacious lounge, a dining room and a library. The observation deck is perfect place for appreciating the passing scenery and wildlife.
True North offers 13-night Wilderness Explorer cruises departing from Broome or Wyndham between April and September. Discover the fascinating Kimberley region on a meandering wilderness cruise—explore secluded beaches, bays and natural harbors of the thousands of deserted islands along the coast. Travel up rivers to explore nature and see breath-taking waterfalls. Discover the magnificent Montgomery Reef, and witness a unique sight: a massive waterfall in the middle of the ocean as the tide falls off the reef. The expedition`s 6-seater helicopter is ready to take you to remote scenic locations, and fishing and hiking is available on most days.
In late September or October, True North heads for the remote and gorgeous Rowley Shoals for coral reef diving. The 6-night dive intensive itineraries explore this fascinating area with its rare coral reef tides and many creatures. Every year there is also a whale shark diving excursion in Ningaloo Marine Park and some itineraries around Exmouth and Perth.
