Tech Weeks with Buddy Dive Bonaire

This year in October Buddy Dive Resort will team up with Dive Rite and TDI for some exciting weeks of Technical Dive Demonstrations, Presentations and Trainings. Additionally Special Equipment, Materials and Fills will be available during the event.

With as many as 60 officially listed dive sites on Bonaire, most of them easy accessible from shore, Bonaire offers the perfect conditions for tech divers. Forget about the hassle of carrying your heavy tech diving gear onto boats with a medium visibility reward - a cold water dive after sitting and waiting on a boat for 60 minutes. Instead, pick your own dive site, drive there whenever you like, gear up at the back of your truck and just walk easily into the warm, calm ocean!

Buddy Dive Resort is totally geared up for you to make the most out of your tech diving vacation. With a fleet of custom dive boats and a well-stocked 'Drive Thru' offering air/nitrox tanks, every divers needs can be satisfied. Besides unlimited air/nitrox fills for the entire 6 days, qualified CCR divers will have support for their dives including scrubbing material and tri-mix fills for FREE! Sidemount divers will have tanks available in various sizes included in the package.

Dive Something Different, Learn Something New
For divers that have not experienced Rebreather or Sidemount Diving, Free Demos will be available throughout the week. Educational sessions by leading Dive Professionals will also be available to help educate divers, in this style of diving and technology.

The resort is has eleven modern buildings housing one, two and three bedroom apartments, a full service dive center, activity desk, two swimming pools, restaurant, pool bar and vehicle rentals.

For sunning in a location with the ultimate view, there's no place better than the raised sand beach areas overlooking the clear, turquoise waters of the Caribbean. A short stairway provides easy access to the tranquil ocean below which is excellent for snorkeling and swimming.

Buddy Dive Resort has 1, 2 and 3 bedroom Apartments, each with a fully equipment kitchen, spacious living area with cable TV, telephone, patio or balcony, air-conditioned bedrooms with each its own bathroom with shower.

The Studio rooms have a small kitchen, separate bedroom with air-conditioning and a bathroom with shower. They also have cable TV, telephone and a small patio.

Air conditioned Hotel rooms are equipped with table size fridge, cable TV, telephone, bathroom with shower and a balcony.

All rooms have a room safe, with no extra charge, to store valuables. No unit is more than a few steps away from one of 2 swimming pools and casual thatched roof, seaside pool bar.

With as many as 60 officially listed dive sites on Bonaire and another 20 dive sites on Klein Bonaire, the dive operation at Buddy Dive Resort is geared up for you to make the most out of your dive vacation. Bonaire's sea abounds with beautiful marine life and a fascinating variety of multi-colored tropical fish. The sea is remarkably calm and conditions are superb for both scuba diving and snorkeling.

Every diver’s need can be satisfied with a fleet of custom dive boats, complete rental and retail center, exceptional staff, and a unique "Drive Thru" with a two-lane air/nitrox fill station.

Buddy's is a DAN Member, as well as a PADI 5 Star Gold Palm Resort and Universal Referral Center. They offer every level of instruction imaginable, conducted in several languages. In addition to all the standard PADI specialties, they also offer you the chance to become an Enriched Air Certified diver, or even try out a Re-breather.

Join the experienced, friendly dive staff on morning and afternoon boat dives, climb into a rental truck and take advantage of the dive sites accessible from the shoreline, or take a guided day or night dive to great sites such as the Salt Pier or Town Pier, which have become a Mecca for photographers.

Buddy Dive Digital Photo has much to offer to divers who want to take advantage of Bonaire's photographic opportunities. Rental equipment ranges from a simple point and shoot set-up to digital SLRs and video camera systems. Photo instruction is available including introductory courses, certifications and advanced photo coaching or try a Digital Doctor session for quick answers to your photo questions.
