Isla Del Cocos with Jenny Collister

Do you love adrenaline pumping dives, lots of action and sharks galore?  How about Mantas and Whale sharks?  Ever dreamed of going to 1,000 feet below the surface in a submarine?  Then Isla Del Cocos should move right to the top of your bucket list for 2019.

This magical island is located 360 nautical miles southwest off the coast of Costa Rica, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Why is it so special? It is the southernmost point on the North American Continent. It has been a National Park since 1978 and designated a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1997. It has no permanent inhabitants, just park rangers to protect its unique environment. It is surrounded by deep waters with counter-currents. The wet climate and ocean currents not shared with any other Eastern Pacific islands and that is what attracts the pelagic fish species.

Sea Hunter has been crowned the paramount, purpose-built live aboard. She is superbly stable for the open ocean crossing. Sea Hunter combines the large platform and functionality of a workboat with the comfortable and relaxed interior of a modern yacht.

Jenny Collister has been in the travel business for over 30 years with 22 years specific to dive travel. She will entertain you with stories of leading groups from 4 to 40 all over the world. She has traveled from Africa to Zimbabwe and everywhere in between.
