Aurora sundeck_2012_IMG_6195Adventure, relaxation, comfort and respect for marine biodiversity all come together aboard MS Aurora in the abundant waters and many islands of Indonesia. Marine biologists, professional divers, underwater photographers and video-operators offer professional guidance as you explore coral reefs flaunting the highest biodiversity in the world.

Aurora is a spacious, double-masted, teak motor-sail yacht, built according to the traditional Pinisi style and designed for a discerning dive clientele.

As one of 14 guests aboard, you will experience superior standards and comfort together with the luxury of a traditional boat. Aurora has been built following modern and environmentally friendly principles and gives you the opportunity to explore remote areas.

The dining area and lounge include a TV, video, DVD player and audio system with an ipod connection. The spacious sun deck has wooden sun beds and gorgeous views. There is a sitting area at the stern as well.

Accommodation:

Dune Aurora features 7 cabins with either king or 2 twin berths. All cabins have individually controlled air-conditioning, en suite bathroom with shower and portholes. Cabins are detailed with teak paneling and Indonesian textiles.

Diving:

Dune Aurora cruises several itineraries, including Raja Ampat, Banda Sea, and Komodo. The spacious diving deck is located on the bow. Nitrox and rental equipment are available.

The cruise to Raja Ampat offers unique opportunities, being one of the last natural paradises left on the planet. Dune Aurora’s diving guides know the most breathtaking and beautiful diving spots, yet some exploration is very possible and the results are always exciting.

At Komodo rich fishbanks (barracudas and carangidi) patrol the reef especially in the channels between the islands, and when the sea tide rises, the intensity of the current can be noteworthy. As the Pacific mixes with the colder Indian Ocean, at the south of the Lesser Sunda Islands, we find Pacific fauna scattered to the north and in-between the islands.

The landscape and coral islands of the Banda Sea alternate with rock formations covered with a green layer, giving your passage from Asia to Oceania almost unreal magic. In this area, the crests of the submerged pinnacles are surrounded by a magnificent reef, at times very rich with hard corals.
