Air conditioning is available as a back up to Mother Nature’s reliable and luxurious trade wind ventilation in all of Bitter End’s signature timber and stone duplex cottages. These elegantly simple structures have been designed to blend into Bitter End’s unparalleled natural environment.

Every room features custom designed teak furniture, twin or king beds, colorful accessories, an old-fashioned ceiling fan, refrigerator, coffee maker, large dressing area with double vanity and H2O amenities, spacious shower with sea view, and wrap-around veranda with steamer chairs and romantic couples’ hammock. There are three clusters of duplex cottages, Reef, Horizon and Garden.

Reef cottages are scattered along the lower boardwalk, steps from water’s edge, and close to Bitter End’s beaches, attractions, and activities. They have expansive views of Eustatia Sound’s vivid waters, its barrier reef, outlying islands and the blue sea beyond.

Horizon cottages lie along the upper boardwalk. They are tree houses for grownups and kids with panoramic views of Eustatia Sound’s colorful and acrobatic kite boarders, waves crashing on the barrier reef and the allure of Anegada on the horizon.

Garden cottages are nestled comfortably above sea level along Eustatia Sound’s shore. They are surrounded by lush bougainvillea and frangipani and have close in views of the Sound and its reef through a remarkable mangrove forest.

The British Virgin Islands are one of the most pristine diving destinations in the world. Go and explore the beautiful reefs, teeming with marine life! Let the professional staff at Sunchaser Scuba guide you through arches and coral canyons on dive sites like Chimney and Coral Gardens. Or visit one of the many wrecks in the BVI, such as the world famous "RMS Rhone."

Certified divers can join Sunchasers' regularly scheduled dive trips, departing early morning for a two-tank dive, and for a one tank dive in the afternoon.

Not a certified diver? Why not take a PADI "Discover Scuba Diving Experience"? In just one afternoon, you can complete one hour of training followed by a dive to a maximum depth of 40 feet. Then follow up at a later date with the PADI Open Water Course, which will allow you to dive anywhere in the world, and be certified for life!
