La Selva Jungle Lodge

The lodge is located deep in virgin rainforest on the Napo River, a main tributary of the Amazon Basin. Fly to Coca or Lago Agrio then transfer by motorized canoe along the Rio Napo for two hours to reach the lodge.

Sixteen double-bed cabins are built in above ground native-style and connected by elevated wooden walkways, and perched on a hillside overlooking Heron Lake. This is the ideal location for nature enthusiasts of all ages. There is even a lovely pool!

The friendly and experienced staff members take small groups on personalized tours through the jungle on foot or by canoe, easy-going to strenuous—special interests are accommodated. Each evening the next day`s options are discussed after dinner. The tasty cuisine has its background in French cooking, applying the techniques to local ingredients and dishes.

The lodge cares very deeply about maintaining the purity of the rainforest and preserving the dignity and lifestyle of the indigenous peoples living in the area.
