Qamea is the only resort on the island, set on 100 lush tropical acres of landscaped gardens, bushland, and jagged volcanic South Pacific mountains that soar behind the property. The resort fronts onto a private white sand beach of just under a kilometer in length, and is known as the most spectacular in Fiji’s northern island group.

At Qamea the are 17 spacious beachfront bures and exclusive villas are built in traditional Fijian style, with soaring ceilings and hand polished local mahogany hardwood floors. All are air-conditioned, have outdoor river-stone courtyard showers and have large covered decks with comfortable furniture and hammock with dramatic and unobstructed views of the ocean and sunsets.

Beachfront Bures have thatched roofs and are spacious with over 650 square feet (including covered deck), and decorated with antique Fijian art collected by the owners from neighboring villages and islands.

The Honeymoon Villa is a stunning 1,200 square foot split level villa with a jacuzzi spa bath. The upper level is the bedroom, and two steps take you down to the lounge. Both rooms face the sea and have access to a large verandah by sliding glass doors.

Two 800 square foot Honeymoon Bures are designed to command expansive and unobstructed views of Qamea’s lagoon and long white sand beach – probably the best views on the resort. Features include a natural stone Jacuzzi spa and romantic canopied four poster beds with soft white decorative mosquito netting curtains.

The three Royal Beach Houses, set at the end of the resort’s exquisite white sand beach, offer absolute privacy, and command outstanding ocean and beach views. Each has its own private plunge pool on an expanded sunning deck that goes to the edge of the beach. Also on the deck facing the sweeping views of the lagoon is a heated Jacuzzi spa, an outdoor rock wall shower, and a large romantic daybed.

There are 2 one-bedroom and 1 two-bedroom Royal Beach Houses, each with a 42” plasma screen TV connected to international satellite, DVD (multi-zone) player, and stereo with an iPod docking station.

Come experience some of the world's premier dive sites, located just off the white sand shores of Qamea Resort & Spa, and nearby Tavenui Island. Qamea's full PADI dive operation features such world-class dive sites as the Purple Wall, Qamea Freeway and more. Most of the dive sites are within ten minutes of the resort, so you will not waste valuable holiday time on a dive boat. Charter dives to the White Wall and Rainbow Reef in the Somosomo Straits and to Yellow Wall are also possible.

Diving with Qamea is effortless; all you need to do is show up and jump on one of their dive boats. Almost all of their diving guests are amazed at how close the majority of the dive sites are to the resort, 23 out of 26 within eight minutes of your bure. This means that you come back to the resort for a very comfortable surface interval, and you can have a full day of diving before lunch.

Both the owners of Qamea are avid divers and can be found underwater most days when they are on the resort.
