Blue Spirit

Sea Spirit-1The MV Blue Spirit is a spacious 28m vessel that offers comfortable accommodation together with a high standard of service. With two Dive Instructors for just 12 guests, you can be sure of individual attention according to your experience and needs.

On the main deck there is a comfortable saloon which has seating and table areas for dining and relaxation. The saloon is equipped with a TV/DVD player with multi-system home theatre surround sound.

There is an honesty bar stocked with wine, beer and spirits from the fridge together with an icemaker. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are available throughout the day and night.

The foredeck of Blue Spirit is partially shaded and offers an ideal place for guests to relax between dives. Meals are generally served at a table outside to the aft of the boat so that guests can enjoy the wonderful beauty of the Maldives. There are steps from the rear deck that lead up to the sundeck which is a great place to watch the sun setting.

Blue Spirit offers comfortable accommodation in 6 large and airy air-conditioned cabins; two double berths and four double/twin berth. Each cabin has a porthole and all are air-conditioned as well as having a large wall mounted cabin fan.

All cabins have a hanging wardrobe and under-bed storage space, en-suite bathrooms, with hot water shower, domestic WC and hand basin. The guest cabins are totally separate from the working sections of the boat and are cleaned each day while guests are diving.

To dive safely and to reach the best dive points in and around the narrow channels and shallow reefs, you need a special type of boat adapted to these local conditions. The blue Spirit’s Dive Support vessel, Niumath, is 50ft long and comfortably seats 12 divers each with their own storage bin. Equipment is assembled and remains in place on the dive boat making this really easy comfortable diving. Cylinders are filled by the two onboard K14 compressors and Nitrox is available on request. Sea Spirit can also support rebreather diving.

Reef life is prolific, with over 700 common fish species and many more still to be discovered and classified; invertebrate species are reckoned to be in their tens of thousands. For the sharp-eyed diver there are encounters with species like frogfish, leaf fish, ghost pipefish and a multitude of nudibranchs. Whether it’s the sight of the awesome manta ray, being face to face with a grey reef shark or spotting a tiny brightly colored flatworm, the Maldives has it all.
